WHO WOULD JESUS HATE?

I always learned that Jesus taught Love, Compassion, & Helping those in need. I keep trying to find all the hate that Right Wingers say is in the Bible.

Oh, there I found their "New Version"(Or is it a repeat from the Crusade days?) and their "NEW RULES" (Bill Maher will be upset, well maybe).

OBAMA-Your ROOTS Are Showing!!!

I've been known to ask, "Are my Chicago Roots showing?" I say this because I tend to be more liberal, direct, & diverse in my attitude towards just about everything. I like a little of all, and think people should be fairly treated financially and treated with respect (Only prejudice that I think I have is against Bigots).

I am usually very optimistic, as well.

I thought Obama learned these things from his time in Chicago, and it appeared even more so, when he began instituting some of his plan over the past few months.

BUT, In the past few weeks, I have come to think Obama has been forgetting his Chicago (transplanted) roots and is going for other ones when it comes to LGBT issues.

When it comes to "A LIGHT" (Gay/LGBT) Issues, I am still trying to figure if Obama is a mix of:

Harvey Milk & MLK,

Bayard Rustin & Gavin Newsom

OR Bill O'Reilly & Marion Barry

WHY WE NEED TO DEMAND IT ALL, NOW!!!

I have been tired of hearing "WAIT", "BE PATIENT", OR "One day we will get our rights from encouraging voters". This thinking has caused our movement to work in reverse of all other civil rights movements and has caused our goals to be underachieved.

We are willing to wait until people like us enough to give us rights (Usually sitting on our bar stools), stay in the closet because we have become comfortable there (And are like some battered women who won't leave their husbands because it might be bad, but it is what they know) and, like many Americans, expect things to be given to us without effort because, well, we are (arrogant) Americans.

The movie, "Outrage" deals with these issues as a, "CLOSET EFFECT". We are so used to the way things are, so afraid to demand what we want, and SO AFRAID that people might hurt us, that we hide, lie, and hurt our own in order to keep things the same. The ones that they talk about, also start more risky sexual practices and in turn hurt us more because they are the stereotype our haters have for us.

I see it as that we are born into families in every minority or majority group and we learn these abilities to hate, lie, and the pain from our parents. We learn that they hate us and we need to stay hidden. We do not have a parent, as other minorities do, that can understand our pain from our point of view. This also causes an almost 6 times greater gay teen suicide rate. Not having laws to protect us, and judges telling people we don't deserve them, encourages bullies to taunt and perform hate crimes and then gives us more reasons to feel depressed.

New data and old data prove that 30 year old comments from Harvey Milk are one of the best ways to get votes and move public opinion, "COME OUT, COME OUT, COME OUT!!!" We would have been about 15% ahead in California if our friends, family and co-workers knew we were gay.

If we followed Milk's actions and those of all other Civil Rights Movements and used the full book of nonviolent protest practices, we would have our rights by now. Protests, Boycotts and SCREAMING works to move legislation/Legislators.

We all need to get involved, step up the fight and use all the help we can get.
If we settle for bits and pieces, that is what we will always get. We will never receive everything unless we demand it & demand it all at once, NOW!

Help to get others involved by using my 4 Hour Plan & keep the conversation alive. I want conservatives to get so tired of hearing about us and seeing us in the news, that they grow tired, go away, and let us have our rights.

"Goes To Twelve" Blog gives us some interesting ideas on how to focus our fight and encourage our enemies to give up, with "Alinsky's Rules For Radicals" in the right column.

What do you want? EQUAL RIGHTS
When do you want 'em? NOW

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? GET ANGRY
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? COME OUT
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? READ THE 4 Hour Plan
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? GO SEE OUTRAGE
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? GET OTHERS TO FOLLOW 4 Hour Plan

Who Are We Forgetting With "LGBT"?

I use the term "Gay" a lot, maybe too much. I identify with it as a Gay male, but also am old enough to remember a time when their wasn't a common word yet for many of our LGBT community members.

When "Bras were burning", I realized there were Lesbians not happy under the cover of the umbrella of "Gay". I met my first "Dykes" and my first bit of anti-gay prejudice from my Lesbian sisters.

It took me a while to understand. I was always in the belief that "Gay" united us and didn't want any other terms that might divide our community, as this seemed to be happening.

My favorite blog uses "Queer" in its title. I am not comfortable owning that one full-time for myself, either. Never was a "Twink", a total "Muscle Boi" or "Muscle Bear", not exactly a "Leather Boy" or "Sir" and now I am closing in on "Daddy" when I don't shave, but am too baby faced to be called that for a few more years (I Hope). I think I am a little of everything and like it all (Guess it's my Chicago roots showing).

Over the years, I have had a parade of new identifying terms as my friends began finding a term they identify with. When Obama made this month "LGBT Pride Month", it got me to think about those who might have trouble being left out.

It brings me to another problem. If I add the "I" for Intersexed, "Q" for Queer, "H" & "H" for Heteroflexible and Homoflexible, and FTM & MTF Transgendered physically, but then they each have their sexual preference to take in account, I am into a tounge-twister of a title and it's beginning to look like a secret pass code for my favorite porn website.

A few months ago, I even tried to combine a few, hoping noone would get mad, into an "A LIGHT" RAINBOW. Asexual(A), Lesbian(L), Intersexed(I), Gay(G), Heteroflexible/Homoflexible/Bisexual(H), and Transgendered/MTF/FTM/Gay/Lesbian/Straight/Bisexual combinations (T). I hoped Bisexuals wouldn't mind being consolidated into the fold, or piss off a whole new group, because Bears, Muscle Bears, Otters, Grey Foxes, Cubs, Papis, Daddies, Sirs, Boys, Twinks, Muscle Bois, Queers, Fags, Queens, Dykes, Fems, & Doms. Then let's not get into the preference subtitles tops, bottoms, versatile, versatile-top, versatile-bottom, and flip. I know I have forgotten all the categories of Asexuals and Intersexed individuals but my head is about to explode.

OMG, I would sound like Julie Andrews in Mary Poppins singing our new title if I even tried. Therefore, you are gonna have to bear with me.

I will use "GAY", because I am old and love you all and want to include you all. I also am old enough to remember when people used that to mean "Happy" (Which, I hope we all one day will be). Or, I will make an effort to include you all in a way my tongue, although used to twisting, can handle and use my term "A LIGHT" Rainbow shining on us all (So Gay, I Know).

I can say sorry to the female Bisexuals for regrouping them, or say figuratively to the male ones to, "BITE ME NOW!" (When literally, I wish some would). When all I want to do is have a "GAY OLD BLOG" where I can make you all happy enough, at times, to deal with me when I need to rant, rave, and use your self-owned title in an unflattering way.

Otherwise, BITE ME NOW!
